FIRST LOOK | LỌNG – The First Touchpoint of the HER-ITAGE Journey
The ceremonial parasol, or lọng, has long been woven into the cultural life of Huế. In ancient royal rituals, it stood as a sign of solemnity and reverence, associated with the regalia of power and ceremony. Beyond the imperial court, the lọng entered the everyday life of the people, appearing in festivals and, most meaningfully, in wedding traditions — where the figure carrying the parasol ahead became a guiding presence, symbolizing blessings for the couple on their sacred day.

At the HER-ITAGE Mini Show, Lecia chose the lọng as the symbolic gesture that opens the entire presentation. It is no coincidence that the parasol bearer was inspired by the white peacock — a creature of quiet beauty, grace and noble pride. This is also the spirit of womanhood Lecia has always sought to honour: refined, elegant without ostentation, and steadfast in preserving a beauty that is uniquely her own.

As the lọng appeared, the Perfume River and Nghinh Lương Đình Landing came together in a setting rich with poetry, transforming the opening moment into far more than a simple walk down the runway. It became an evocative tableau, where heritage and contemporary expression met in harmony.

The parasol led the way, with gowns and silhouettes following in its wake — an image like a graceful invitation, allowing each HER-ITAGE design to unfold as an emotional journey. It is a journey Lecia dedicates to brides: so that when they step into a gown, they do not merely encounter beauty, but carry with them a cultural legacy reimagined in a new and radiant form.
